Residential Program Services
Residential Mowing:Mowing services can be scheduled for weekly or bi-weekly cuts. Our mowing service includes the following:
Mowing (at a height of 3-3 1/2 inches)
String line Trimming (weed eating areas the mowers cannot reach)
Edging (stick edging is done every other service visit)
Blowing (clearing driveways, sidewalks, decks and steps of grass clippings)
Little Pick Up (litter will be picked up on turf areas)
*Bed edging and weeding can be added to mowing services, but are additional
Lawn Care Programs:
Our lawn care program includes everything your lawn will need throughout the season. Lawn care provides consistent and steady optimum conditions for a healthy, lush lawn. Please note that results will always be better on a lawn that is being watered regularly. With proper lawn care, and careful watering it may take a season or two to fully realize the benefits of this service within the condition of turf.
Basic Lawn Care Service:
Round 1 - Fertilization, Pre-Emergent and Crabgrass Control (March)
Round 2 - Fertilization, Pre-Emergent and Weed Control (April - May)
Round 3 - Fertilization, Grub Control and Weed Control (July)
Round 4 - Fertilization and Spot Weed Control (September - October)
Round 5 - Winter Fertilization (November)
Round 6 - Lime Application (November)
Full Service:
Rounds 1-6 as described above, along with a Fall Over-Seeding and Core Aeration Service
Additional Services
Additional services are billed upon completion. There are some instances when your Representative might be able to combine an Additional Service into your monthy payment, so feel free to ask at your appointment.Spring & Fall Clean Up Services:
Clean up services can be customized to your individual needs, but usually consist of services such as weeding, leaf / limb clean up, mulching, bed cleaning, edging, pruning, trimming and yard debris removal. Your representative will ask what specific services you want included in your clean up service.
Leaf Removal Services:
Leaf removal services can also be tailored to fit your needs. We can remove your leaves as many times and as often as you like throughout the autumn months. Leaf removal is done with a combination of techniques, using blowers, rakes, tarps and leaf vacs.
Pruning & Trimming Services:
Pruning of trees (under the height of 12 feet), is usually done twice a year; once in late Spring/early Summer and once in the Fall. Anything over 12 feet, is above and beyond standard contract, and our tree specialist will be contacted.
Trimming service scheduling varies throughout the season, dependent upon plant species, your individual needs will dictate scheduling. Trimming services include, trimming and shaping of all shrubbery per standard practices according to plant species, with hand pruners, shears and/or hedge trimmers.
Mulching Services:
Various types of mulch are available, including hardwood double shredded, various colors, and even rubber mulches in primary colors for playgrounds. Mulch is applied to maintain a 2 inch depth. Mulching service includes edging the beds being mulched, weeding and a pre-emergent application. You can also add a landscape fabric under a mulch application, to prevent weed growth within the bed area.
Fungicide / Insecticide Application:
Fungicides and insecticides can be applied to lawn, when problems occur. If you notice any browning of your turf, of generally unhealthy in appearance, please call the office to set an appointment. Usually the cure is easy and affordable, once the problem is detected.
Grub Control Application:
Grub controls can be applied to any lawn diagnosed with grubs. You can suspect grubs are at work when you can pick up sections of your turf, like a carpet as grubs eat the root system of the turf. Browning and dying turf are the first signs.
Mole and Vole Repellant Application:
A granular repellant can be applied once a presence is established. The tell tale sign of mole or vole presence, are raised turf, from tunnels just below the surface. Moles are meat eaters, who eat grubs and insects, and voles are vegetarians that feed on bulbs and root systems.
Over Seeding and Deep Core Aeration:
Cores of turf are removed, to allow for proper oxygenation of the soil, and then a heavy rate of seed is applied. A blue tag certified Tall Fescue is used in seeding.
Payment Options
"Monthly Payment Plans" are billed at the start of each month and are for those clients who like to pay the same amount each month over a period of usually 6-10 months. We simply take the contracted services, (an est. total number of cuts is used, usually 22 for the season for weekly cuts). We then add any lawn care applications that will be done over the season and divide the total out over how ever many months. If all cuts that were applied to monthly payments were not performed, a credit will be given towards any other service. ONLY Mowing and Lawn Care Program Services are elligible for Monthly Payments, all Additional Services will be billed seperately.
"To Be Billed" payments are billed at the start of each month for the work that was done the month before. Since some months have no lawn care applications and some months have multiple, and because the mowing slows and speeds, To Be Billed monthly amounts will vary from month to month.
Landscaping and Additional Services - Most are billed and due upon completion. For larger landscaping work, we can divide the total into 3 payments; 1/3 deposit upon the signing of contract, 1/3 upon the start of work and the final 1/3 upon completion. Please let your Representative know at the time of estimate, if you will be paying for any larger amounts with a credit card.
LATE FEES - Because we are a service oriented business, it's of the utmost importance that payments be prompt. We offer automatic payments, if the 15 day billing cycle is difficult for you. Bills are sent out the first of each month and are due back into the office by the 15th, but will be graced until the first of the following month, but no later. Please note that there will be a $15 LATE FEE for each 15 days the bill is late. Late Fees compound quickly if left unattended and are also more work for our office staff, therefore any invoice remaining unpaid for 30 days will no longer recieve service until payment is made in full, including late fees, or alternate arrangements have been made with our office. We will always work with you however we can to set up alternate arrangements, but this too takes times, so late fees or a portion thereof will stand. Please let us know how we can help make payments the most convenient for YOU!
